Your home is probably your biggest financial investment.  Before you find yourself in an emergency, talk to us and make sure there are no gaps or overlaps in your coverage.  Whether you own or rent a house, condominium, townhouse, mobile home or apartment, we will help you choose the coverage you need. That is why we will ask you for specific information about your house.  With that information we can prepare an estimate of the cost of rebuilding your home, complete with it's special features, in the event it is damaged or totally destroyed.

Our policies offer dwelling and personal property coverage for loss due to perils including fire, wind, hail, sudden and accidental discharge of water, theft, lightning, smoke, vandalism, and explosion.

Home Insurance Coverage includes dwelling and personal property, personal liability and medical payments, and additional living expenses.

Coverage is designed to rebuild your home based on the replacement cost.  We can tailor a package to meet your needs.

Factors that will determine the cost of rebuilding your home:

  • Local construction costs
  • The square footage of the structure
  • The type of exterior wall construction, masonry (brick or stone) or veneer
  • The style of the house
  • The number of bathrooms and other rooms in the house
  • The type and age of roof and materials used
  • Other structures on the premises such as garages, sheds
  • Fireplaces, exterior trim and other special features like arched windows
  • Whether the house, or parts of it like the kitchen, was custom built
  • Improvement to your home adding an additional bathroom, updating the kitchen or other additions that have added value to your home

Separate structures
Separate structures are a percentage of your home. They include items on your property, other than the house,  such as the detached garage, fence, deck, and storage building.

Replacement Cost  pays for the cost of repair or to replace the items without deduction for depreciation.

Personal Property Floater
A home policy provides limited coverage for items such as jewelry, furs, and collectibles.  You may need additional coverage for specific items. A Personal Property Floater offers coverage based on a current appraisal by a qualified appraiser. The items are identified and valued by the appraiser and coverage is available based on an additional cost per $100 value of the item. This allows the items to be replaced if lost or stolen.

Coverage is on a named-peril basis, which means that only losses resulting from causes listed in the policy are covered (subject to exclusions).

Renters Insurance Coverage
